Many learners take advantage of the opportunity for additional private practice with family members or friends. This is recommended as it will provide experience and practice that will enhance the training process.
Learning and taking the test in your own car can have the advantage of allowing you to gain further skills, while at the same time building confidence in familiar surroundings. This is, of course, subject to you reaching an acceptable standard in the dual-controlled car to avoid putting anyone at unnecessary risk.
If you are assisting with the training of one of my pupils, please feel free to contact me for any advice, and I can also offer a 1-hour assessment of your own driving skills to ensure you are up to date with current standards before teaching your son/daughter/partner.
